What this is
OwnYou is an attribution protocol. You install a wallet (a browser extension), consent at install time to sharing a small set of audience claims — IAB Audience Taxonomy 1.1 interests, purchase intent, coarse demographics — and browse the web normally. When advertisers running the OwnYou SDKs target you and settle on-chain, you receive USDC at a per-(campaign, rotation) HD-derived payout address. Your name, email, browsing history, and cross-campaign linkage never leave your device.
Slice 1 is a publicly-accessible pilot on the Base Sepolia testnet. Earnings are testnet USDC — not real money during the pilot phase.
For pilot users
Pilot users install the OwnYou wallet (an unlisted Chrome Web Store extension; sideload
.crx on GitHub Releases as a fallback) and visit a pair of demo publishers running
the OwnYou SDKs. Onboarding asks once, at install time, what your wallet will share, and lets you
continue when you've read the disclosure summary. There is no per-ad consent prompt — the wallet
either has install-consent and participates, or it doesn't and stays quiet. Revocation is
uninstall.
One device per Privy account during the Slice 1 pilot. Cross-device coordination is deferred to a later release.
